Lana, 2
by Laurie H.

The owner/trainer at the barn where I ride works with the Mustang Heritage Foundation and is often at regional adoptions. At one particular event, she was packing up to leave when someone was walking around with this pathetic looking filly who had eye infections and fungus on her coat. She was free to anyone who would take her.

Being the softy she is, our trainer loaded her up not realizing that God already had this horse in mind for me. It was nine months later before I even started riding at this barn with the idea of preparing to have my own horse one day. When she showed me Lana, it was love at first sight.

Yesterday I tacked her up and rode her ... just me and her in the arena after only two weeks under saddle. She's amazing!! The sweetest disposition and extremely intelligent. She loves people and seems very rider conscious. We've both got alot to learn, but I'm excited that we've got alot of years ahead of us to learn together!
